GE-O System

Technical specifications

The G-EO system is a world-class state-of-the-art robot-assisted facility for walking practice. It is the only device that offers a unique realistic simulation of walking to and from stairs, and can be controlled by only by 1 therapist. G-EO provides feedback patient movements in real time. The adult system can be expanded to include a module for paediatric patients from a height of 90 cm or a G-EO machine can be purchased for children only.

G-EO was developed to help both adult and paediatric patients after strokes and other serious problems and disease, to regain walking ability and thereby be able to regain independence in daily life.

G-EO is located in respected clinics and rehabilitation facilities in over 70 countries worldwide.

Key strengths:

  • simulation of walking up and down stairs
  • Adaptive mode - Response and individual adjustment of therapy parameters
  • short setup time for the patient (5-10 minutes)
  • only 1 therapist is sufficient to operateonly 1 therapist
  • partial / phased movement function
  • absolute patient safety without the need to use robotic braces
  • the possibility of resetting the system for children in a few minutes
  • option to expand with additional modules
  • pressure sensors in feedback pedals pressure/thrust measurement and
  • balance in each limb - possibility to adjust walking parameters
  • the option of free movement in the pelvis for its proper physiological movement

Optional modules:

K Module, PK Module - Knee and ankle support module for adult or paediatric patients

It consists of a brace for the left and right legs. The patient gains more stability with flexi and extension. There is also a module for children from 90 -150 cm high.

P module - child module

The P module is designed for the therapy of children. From a height of 90 cm to 50 kg

R module research module

R module facilitates data collection for medical studies. All scanners and patient data can be directly accessed and stored for further analysis without disrupting the daily regimen.

FES module - functional electrical stimulation

The module consists of an auxiliary device that communicates via an interface with G-EO Evolution System. The stimulation module supports patient activity when activating the muscle tissue.

H module - heart module

The H module allows you to collect sensed pulse data and oxygen saturation of the blood. This is pulse oxymetry. It monitors parameters in real time. It can only be installed on Evolution System.

D Module - HL7 database module (on request)

D module allows direct communication with clinical database systems. Using a specific standard protocol for HL7 clinical databases, G-EO The system can automatically receive and process job lists and export therapy data directly to the patient's electronic card.

Summary:

  • provides real-time feedback on patient movement
  • quick settings and simple controls allow for lower therapy costs
  • Intelligent control responds using adaptive mode and individually adjusts parameters based on the patient's current abilities
  • monitoring and reporting data allows seamless data processing and accurate assessment of patient performance and progress
  • Active mode (part of adaptive mode) - allows the patient to develop their own strength to overcome pre-set resistance (at a premium to BASIC)
  • The active assisted regimen (part of adaptive mode) detects and supports patient efforts to overcome pre-set resistance (at a premium to BASIC)
  • Visualize scenery –
  • partial movement function, which allows isolating and creating specific stages of the walking cycle.
  • simulates walking up and down stairs
  • adaptive mode - the feedback system actively responds to the patient's options. If the patient is able to partially walk, G-EO The system limits self-support and provides the correct walking parameters up to the patient's fully active movement.
